Throughout 2023-2024 I worked almost exclusively on a hypothetical illustrated magazine named Zoologic. I wanted to create a publication for people ages 14+ about animals, and natural history.
My goal was to create a product that could be a gateway to the ecological sciences, and introduce to people to the ethical issues that animals currently face.
"Secret of the Sands" focuses on the unique wildlife found in southern Africa. Based on my own experiences in Namibia, this issue features exciting illustrations of sand dunes, skulls, and southern Africa's exciting wildlife!
October 2023
"A Human-like Psyche" is about the impact experimentation has on animals and their behavior. This issue features the heights of animal intelligence, and the tragedies caused by unethical research practices.
December 2023
"From Farm to Table" concerns animal domestication, its history, and the current problems that domesticated animals face. This issue also provides more ethical solutions to inhumane treatment.
February 2024
"Ecosystem Enigmas" depicts animals with some of the most interesting ecological niches. From the origins of fantasy creatures to the most bizarre deep-sea organisms, this issue explores the most unique creatures within the animal kingdom.
